ImageHey you, Republic of Serbia, it is definitely impossible to compress all those words that I believe you must hear at any cost. These are the words accumulated in my being over a long period of time. Today, when I am officially a citizen of a Republic, whose people you have treated in the cruellest way, I commemorate the 20th anniversary since you started feeding me with the bitterest food in the world – hatred.

I haven’t got the foggiest how you managed that, it is utterly unfathomable, but I am not the only one thinking in such way.

A notorious proverb seems quite relevant in your case.  “The one, who plants love, reaps love, but the one who plants hatred, reaps desolation.”  A very simple proverb this one, but it magically becomes a heavy and harsh one when it hits your face – a face that resembles with a dinosaur on its last legs. Tell me, how are you going to give back all those 10 years associated with fear? How are you going to give back my childhood whose colours you stole mischievously at birth? What would be your reasoning for those bloody days when I had to hide my grade certificate from your police? How are you going to pay the expensive bill of misery caused when facing the blue Zastava cars of your police in Prishtina?  What is your reasoning for all the traumas caused when seeing the news theme of Dnevnik of Radio Televizija Srbija? How are you going to explain the meaning of the term “etnièko èišæenje” – a brainchild of yours.I reckon you are attempting to answer my questions or maybe you are spluttering, but trust me I cannot hear you unequivocally. All I can hear is some kind of muttering, that is all! You have lowered yourself so much; you are in such severe tragedy; you have collapsed in a heap and you have brought yourself into a bad disrepute, hence, your voice cannot get through!

Never mind, I will carry on, because I am sure you are hearing me, but I am also certain that you aren’t affected by what I say. Typical callous attitude of yours!  There are no feelings in you, no humanity! If there was a tiny particle of humanity, I would have not been horrified in January 1999 by the massacres in Recak. Someone who has feelings does not play with lives of innocent civilians, does not touch babies, and does not show its artistic skills by turning people into caricatures covered with blood. I can hear you saying: ‘Mrsh bre Šiptarski djubre!’ Typical! The more I explore about you, the more I am convinced that you can’t even think properly. Yes, I am talking about your peculiar ‘rational’ thinking, because I still cannot get my head around the fact that you still expect Kosovo to remain under your bloody wings. How can you expect loyalty from the nation that was treated worse than an animal by you? How can I feel comfortable in a state that imposed inferiroty on me?

Thank Goodness, I am not even officially part of yours now. Republic of Kosovo is where I belong. Republic of Kosovo is committed to ensure stability for its minorities. Republic of Kosovo is build on multi-ethnic values and it is dedicated to promote and honour the diversity of its people. Republic of Kosovo embraces all Kosovars, it covers everyone who lives in this territory.  Republic of Kosovo treats everyone equally – a virtue that you never managed to develop. Among the Serbs poisoned by your inhumane epidemic disease there are still some survivers who can think rationally and believe in human values. Those people are disgusted day by day for being identified as your citizens.

Finally, I want to reassure you that your flag will always fly in Prishtina. It will be the only one, embarrased (red), humiliated (blue) and ugly (white), nevertheless, it will still fly in your Embassy in capital Prishtina. Don’t worry, WE don’t attack Embassies. We have dignity and honour.
