BELGRADE -- President Boris Tadiæ says Serbia “unambiguously rejects” any new demands regarding its cooperation with the Hague Tribunal. Speaking for Belgrade’s Pink TV, Tadiæ said that although the arrest of former Bosnian Serb leader and Hague fugitive Radovan Karadžiæ has lately been mentioned as Serbia’s new obligation toward the Tribunal, there was no real evidence that Karadžiæ has ever been seen on Serbian territory. “There were many testimonies concerning Ratko Mladiæ, therefore Serbia must undertake that obligation. There is nothing that impedes Mladiæ or any other indictee to surrender, while his refusal to do so does not represent courage.” “None of those remaining indictees are in any way defending Serbia, our people or our heritage by hiding in apartment blocks or who knows where, defending no one but themselves,” Tadiæ sad. Last week, U.S. Ambassador for War Crimes Clint Williamson said there was evidence Mladiæ, and probably Karadžiæ, were hiding in Serbia.
